No group was able to finish their game on Friday, so we spent a little more time on Entrapment today. One table debated the transformation highlighted in today’s pic. *Is the figure on the grid a reflection of the figure labeled #1 or a rotation?*

. We used pencil as we played and not all moves are easy to distinguish. I think we’ll play again and use different colors so we can more closely look at the figures. CCSS.Math.Content.8.G.A.2 Understand that a two-dimensional figure is congruent to another if the second can be obtained from the first by a sequence of rotations, reflections, and translations; given two congruent figures, describe a sequence that exhibits the congruence between them.
